MORTE SUBITE
VIDEO INSTALLATION

Frontiers
Acrylic/canvas
120 x 200 cm.
The work Frontiers engages with the “dream” of the North and depicts the exodus and the growing tension between two increasingly divided worlds. From Raúl’s perspective, the representation of nudity reveals the human vulnerability of migrants who are forced to flee due to hardship, hunger, or war. They are caught between physical and symbolic borders, confronting a society that is becoming ever more indifferent to their suffering. The work invites reflection on inequality and the erosion of empathy in times of migration crises.

Justice for all
Acrylic/canvas
120 x 200 cm.
Justice for All reflects on the themes of freedom, social justice, and the role of art associations as spaces for critical discourse.
By portraying a socially marginalized individual as the rescuer of Justitia, the work raises questions about responsibility, power structures, and who, in our society, truly fights for justice. This perspective positions the piece as a commentary on the contemporary role of art institutions: as platforms for voices that might otherwise remain unheard, and as spaces in which new visions of the present and future can emerge.

The Last Castor
Mixed media
200 × 70 × 60 cm
In The Last Castor (CASTOR — Cask for And Storage Transport Of Radioactive Material), Raúl presents a dramatically eroded surface of the Earth. The work addresses the fragility of the world and the prospect of a global end; however, the depicted “scenario of horror” is not intended solely as an expression of apocalyptic despair. Rather, The Last Castorfunctions as a critical signal that draws attention to the direction of contemporary reality. By envisioning the future as a dystopian projection, the work invites reflection on the necessity of reorienting our present course. Such a reorientation, however, can only emerge through the consideration of alternative possibilities of reality.
Mort Subite (Sudden Death) is the name of the concept that it was first conceived through a series of digital works, then followed paintings, objects and video in Germany.
I called them also Cardioprints appointed as a personal issue for referring to diseases that humanity suffers.
This is a limited edition signed and numbered. Analogously to the exposed works you can see a video, which is introduced with an essay.
Thematically it is a complaint to certain traditions and customs consequence of our negligence and lack of critic.
Since it is an attempt to question the values of our supossed "modern democracy" that through existential fears and in the name of freedom and justice we are remained as eternal consumers and accomplices in a vicious circle.
I have approached this central argument from two different perspectives. On the one hand, the behavior of the human being, characterized by manipulation, consumption control, torture and slavery. Moreover, his behavior towards the environment and its gradual extinction, expressed in the exploitation and mistreatment of animals as symbol of growing selfishness and dehumanization.
